Unsure of bad spirits and protection? Learn what's really needed.
Are there bad spirits? Yes.
I was shocked to hear this response by a psychic medium at a recent mediumship event I attended. For those unsure, a mediumship event is when a psychic medium demonstrates their ability to connect with the spirit world, connecting to passed loved ones of those in the audience. Some call them “shows”.
At the end of this event, during Q&A time, an audience member asked, “Are there bad spirits?”. Surprisingly and shockingly for me, the medium said yes. And this came just minutes after they had answered another question with, “All passed loved ones are at peace.”
So let me get this straight. All spirit people are at peace…. and there are bad spirits? Hmmm. Confusing. If every soul transitions into peace, love and a higher understanding, which I believe they do, then where exactly are these "bad spirits"? It doesn't add up.
And more than being confusing, I think it's harmful. It reinforces the horror-movie version of the spirit world that so many people already fear - the voodoo, the creepiness, the idea that something dark is lurking. That fear keeps people from finding the genuine comfort and healing that a real connection with spirit can bring, or even developing their connection to the spirit world. So let’s set the record straight.
What happens after we pass
In my experience and after vast amounts of study, here is what I believe and have come to know, what happens after death.
First, we are met with love. Our loved ones who have passed before us. This can be our pets, friends and family of any generation. They can turn up weeks or days before we pass. They want to ensure our transition is peaceful and full of love.
Then comes the life review. After we transition we do a rapid life review. In this review, we see all the hurts we have caused on others, unconsciously and consciously. The reason for this, is so we can up-level as a soul. A soul’s path, is all about evolving or transcending as some might say. That’s why we come to earth school, to learn lessons on a soul level.
When we become a spirit person
When we become a spirit person, we are the same yet with a new big picture view of life. We understand the true meaning of life. To live through love. That’s why spirit people step forward in readings. They want to guide you and help you on your journey from this new understanding. They’ll be the same in some ways, like have the same sense of humour but be spiritually up-levelled. They’ll also understand if they have hurt you and seek forgiveness if required, or pass on information to explain events that may have left you feeling confused. We all evolve as spirit people. We all learn and understand the bigger picture. The spirit world is all about love.
Do we actually need protection?
From humans, my friend. Humans.
We’re all here to learn lessons, and you may be part of someone else’s soul lesson. You’ve been family dropped for good reason (placed into your family) or it could be at work, with friends. Protection? From the humans around you, known and unknown, as you make your way in the world living your life - there’s a lot of energetic gunk that can be projected or left on you. Here is a very simple and quick protection piece you can do at the start of your day, before you walk out the door, or when you start getting the wobblies when out.
A simple protection practise
Visualise yourself in a large translucent or white bubble. Think of bubbles you blow…. this one is large, all encompassing, all around you.
Know your are safe.
Know you are protected.
Say in your mind, “May all negative energies bounce off me and return to the light with love.”
Intention is everything
The intentions we put out to the world and universe are important. That’s why we wish negative energies (humans) well.
Like attracts like. You have the ability to create the boundaries of your connection with the spirit world. Think bad spirits, and you’ll get them. Think good spirits, peace, healing and happiness, and this is the connection you’ll have. Belief and intention are everything.
And protection? From humans, friends, humans.
